 The island of Krk has an excellent geographical position, thanks to which excellent traffic connections have developed. By car, it takes only a few hours to reach the island of Krk. The island of Krk is easiest to reach by car via the Krk bridge and by plane in the airport not far from Omisalj. Regular boat connections have not existed for a long time, but thousands of tourists come to the island with their yachts or organize larger ships, while all coastal sites have exceptionally well-equipped harbors for all types of boats. 

Arriving by car

Bridge toll is paid from the land side towards Krk. Users crossing the Krk bridge in the direction of Krk from the mainland do not have to pay toll. Information on how to get to the island of Krk by car can be found on this link

Arriving by plane

Rijeka Airport is connected to all-year direct flights to and from Köln with all major Euroregion and world cities. Also during the summer season there are lines to major German cities (Frankfurt, Hanover, Berlin) and to Stockholm, Eindhoven and Katownice. For each flight it is organized the carriage of passengers on the Autotrans buses on the route Opatija-Rijeka-Kraljevica-Omišalj - Rijeka Airport - Omišalj-Kraljevica-Rijeka-Opatija. The price of the ticket to Omišalj is 20,00 kn, Kraljevica 30,00 kn, Rijeka 50,00 kn and Opatija 80,00 kn. Arriving by boat

Arrival on the island of Krk is possible by ferry. From Valbiska ferry port all year  the ferries operate on relation Valbiska (island Krk) - Merag (island Cres) and Valbiska - Lopar (island of Rab). Since the island of Cres is connected with the island of Lošinj, there is a chance to visit and experience this island.
